Rocla’s facilities in Denver, Colorado, Bear, Delaware and Amarillo, Texas use an exacting process to manufacture our pre-stressed concrete ties. Developed over many years of continuous in-house research and development, and by studying a wide variety of in-service applications, we use the most advanced manufacturing techniques. Every tie is manufactured to specific and controlled parameters. The end result is a finished product of absolute consistency, accuracy and strength.

Aggregates and other materials used in the concrete formulation are subject to detailed petrographic examinations and related tests to ensure a contamination free mix. Pre-stressed precision engineering is part of the engineered production process and plays a major role in ensuring predictable and proven performance that have always been a hallmark of Rocla concrete ties.
Every step in the production process is closely monitored. Every tie is inspected. Each tie is processed within the framework of tightly documented and controlled procedures, augmented by daily batch testing. All aspects of our engineered manufacturing process exceed ASTM standards. Rocla ties meet or exceed all quality assurance requirements of AREMA and PCI, as well as international standards.
